Tonight, after I ate my dinner, I wanted to explore my own yard. I don’t have a very big yard that would take me a long time to wander, but a good enough sized one to enjoy the exploration, nevertheless.

Unfortunately, after the day’s downpours and the haze that was lingering, I wasn’t overly impressed with my surroundings. Just when I was convincing myself to pack it in and go indoors for the rest of the evening, I spotted the dead flowers of one of our front lawn bushes.

As I was focusing on the wilted and brown petals, I noticed the slightest bit of robotic movement. Resharpening my eye onto what it was, I became happily amazed with its unconcern that I was there. This is what I had inevitably shot.
