I was driving down a familiar road in my town when I remembered that I used to take a side street off of it with my friend’s father to get fresh spring water from the open spout years ago. I found said street and turned onto it. I was surprised when I came across the barrier that now lay across the roadway, creating a dead-end.

Not finding the spring spout, I did however discover a nice pull over spot that resides right next to the stream that runs alongside the road.

I made my way down to the water easily and even stepped into the middle of it using the rocks that stood prominently above the surface.

Enjoying the wind and the cool air that blew around me, I stayed in that location for quite sometime. For the first time in a long while, I inhaled and exhaled with not a thought in my head. I even think I may have closed my eyes for a bit, enjoying nothing more than the sounds that surrounded my head and body.

Upon returning to my car that rested just above, my path was crossed by a flutter of blue. Quickly, my eyes adjusted to the movement and I then became able to follow it. Landing directly onto my walking path, I instantly stopped my movements. In an awkward position, for I was moving upward and out of the shadows of the trees and back onto the roadway; I somehow managed to shoot this wonderful specimen without scaring it away.
